~launched in collaboration with celebrated designer Nachiket Barve~
Bangalore October 11, 2017: This bridal season the Lakmé Salon Backstage Experts are showcasing the boundless and radiant beauty of the modern Indian bride by bringing alive the theme of “Eternal Luminance” in their Show Stopping Bridal Collection 2017. It is inspired by the Lakmé Salon Show Stopping Bride show by Nachiket Barve at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017, that celebrated the sheer timeless beauty of goddesses.
The faces of this season’s collection look book are ‘real-brides’ who were a part of the Show Stopping Bride Contest, that gave brides-to-be, from all over the country, a chance to transform themselves for their special day. The three winning brides Mansha Divjyot Kaur (Delhi), Gazal Gupta (Mumbai) and Yashashree Thanekar (Mumbai) will get the chance to live every bride’s dream by getting featured on the cover of a renowned fashion magazine.
An ethereal collection, it features eight exquisite hair and makeup looks for the Indian bride, emulating a bride’s inner beauty with otherworldly and iridescent beauty looks. Heena Dalvi, National Creative Director, Hair, Lakmé Salon explains “Lakmé Salon is known for its attention to detail, with beauty services that are customised for every bride-to-be. This year, seeking inspiration from the intricate stitching and embroidery of Nachiket Barve’s collection, our hairstyles are a perfect marriage between a bride’s ethereal being and her glamorous quotient. A variety of styles like Sleek halo braids, flared Conroe braids, French-Fish braids and S-waves have been integrated into looks that a bride can effortlessly wear. Innovative techniques like Smocking and Sculpting have taken the form of elaborate hairstyles to ensure that the spotlight is on the bride.”
Sushma Khan, National Creative Director - Makeup, Lakmé Salon says, “Holographic highlights and prismatic hues are techniques we have used to not only accentuate the bride’s features and add ultra-shine, but also reflect her inner radiance. To define the eyes, technicolour and interrupted graphic liners have been used creating a bold look. Moreover, beautiful Sunset and Rose Gold eyes have also been incorporated adding a dash of lustre. Our Dimensional lips with a touch of metallic reflects or Ombre lips will create an alluring yet elegant look”.
Disha Meher, National Expert - Skin and Nails, Lakmé Salon adds, “We have ensured that the bride’s nails look nothing short of stunning and add finesse to her entire look. The collection features Nail art with deep and metallic hues, finished off with embellishments like foil, glitter and gems.”
