CAPRESE, THE TRENDY HANDBAGS BRAND PRESENTED NISHKA LULLA’S FEMININE, FROTHY, VERSATILE LOOK AT LAKMÉ FASHION WEEK SUMMER/RESORT 2018
Mumbai, 3rd February 2018: It was a feminine, frothy, versatile collection from Nishka Lulla presented by the trendy handbag brand Caprese at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2018.
CAPRESE FOR TRENDSETTERS
When it comes to handbags, the Caprese brand has a loyal following of fashion trendsetters. The Caprese label for stylish women’s handbags is exactly what the name means – something that comes from or is the style of Capri - an Italian island off the coast near Naples.
Speaking about the new collection, Mr Sudip Ghose, SVP, VIP Industries Ltd, said, “The Caprese brand is dedicated to bringing international high-fashion handbags and accessories to Indian women and this Spring/Summer collection from Caprese has been designed to appeal to every modern Indian woman who deserves the best of everything in life.”
True to the international high-fashion lineage of Caprese, the latest Spring/Summer ’18 collection offered a brilliant mix of high fashion and functionality. Crafted in modern contemporary silhouettes with a fresh and vivid colour palette consisting of both pleasing pastels and bold favourites like coral and olive, the collection offered a handbag for every occasion and need of today’s modern woman.
This new collection from Caprese comprised a wide array of handbags like elegant totes, timeless satchels, sophisticated hobos, smart sling bags, functional laptop bags, and trend-setting backpacks along with awe-inspiring small accessories like chic wallets and clutches. These trendsetting handbags included in the collection exuded quiet opulence and subdued glamour, while they also came with a host of greatly desirable features for the modern woman.
Spacious interiors, multiple compartments, detachable and adjustable shoulder straps and easy access zippered pockets made the brilliant new collection a must-have in every woman’s Spring/Summer wardrobe. Handbags in the collection were attractively priced at Rs 1799 upward, sling bags onwards of Rs 1399 and wallets started at Rs 999.
Caprese is available at all leading retailers across 22 cities as well as online in India.
NISHKA LULLA’S FLOWING BOHO CHIC COLLECTION
To match the stylish handbags, Nishka’s Summer/Resort 2018 collection was aimed at confident women who want to dress in rainbow colours, fabrics and feminine fashion. If the lady were a gypsy at heart, then she would have loved the flowing, layered, silhouettes.
The fabric choice was ideal as crêpe, tulle, georgette and cotton were selected in a pretty palette of pastels that moved to black, white and sand. For more excitement, Nishka brought in bright orange, bubble-gum pink and lime green to match the sunny summer days ahead.
Embellishments remained true to the Boho Chic signature look of Nishka, as tassels, mirror work and motifs added a breezy vibe to the clothes.
Opening the show with an ivory tasselled sleeve tunic with wide pants, Nishka brought in a pale green pant suit with red floral motifs. The coat dress too, had tasselled sleeves but the fuchsia hoodie and shorts were worn with a cropped top. The striking bubble gum pink, long-sleeved mini had green sleeve pompoms as an embellishment, while the slim pinafore over a nude blouse and the backless dress with bell sleeves was a good rising mercury offering. Biker jackets, kimono style minis, quilted blouson with tiered tulle maxi and the white dress with godets and tasselled sleeves had intriguing embellishments. A long line orange jumper once again had tasselled long sleeves. Mirror work added to the glitter of the quilted cropped jacket, while a dolman sleeved cropped blouse and mirror patch work midi had discreet glitter.
The all-black section once again stayed true to the tassels for blouses but the jumpsuit over tulle long-sleeved nude blouse, embroidered sheath and the ornate embroidered pant under a black long gown, gave evening wear a formal direction. Bright orange was the final offering for a tiered maxi and long skirt with a black summer camisole.
When it came to the show stopper, it was the very perky and vivacious Saiyami Kher who made a glamorous entry in a fuchsia tiered skirt and a mirror work blouse.
Caprese presented great arm candy for the stylish women and the Nishka Lulla line offered a fabulous anywhere and everywhere wardrobe for the coming months that will take the power dresser in multiple separates stylishly from 9 to 5.
The look created by Lakmé makeup expert Donald Simrock kept it super fresh in tandem with the season’s theme of reinventing nudes. The only thing to add a bit of depth to the look was a black dot below the eye.
